Bella sent me this costume about a month ago - but since i was pregnant i only got to wear it for photos. It's never been worn for performing, but i hate to leave it hanging in my closet for 9 months.

Last year Bella included a hip scarf with one of my custom costumes and i loved the fabric for the scarf so much, i asked her to make a costume from it. It's a vivid and rich fuchsia - dramatic and happy at the same time. She felt the fabric wasn't fancy enough, so she's done all kinds of things to dress the costume up, including fantastic cutouts over both hips, flower embroidery over the skirt and bra, and lavish crystal embellishments.

The bra is the bandeau style that she has often made for me lately. One strap is thin and one is wider, rouched velvet. The skirt is essentially a mermaid style, but with a pleated chiffon modesty panel, a chiffon tail in the center back, and 2 chiffon inserts on the sides. The embroidery extends over the cutout of the left hip, while the right hip cut-out is open and simple. The upper arm bands are delicate mesh with the flower motif embroidery. The overall impression is classic and sophisticated. Bella is a genius!!

Measurements: Bra - B-cup with padding, small C without Belt - My hips measure 35.5", Skirt - 36" long.
