This is a stunning costume - I get so many oohs and awes when I wear it that I don't really even need to dance. Just walk around and smile. It's perfect for winter and the Christmas season... very festive. But when i bought it, i was under the misguided impression that my hips are 36". They really are more like 33", and it has just never fit me very well. I have to pad the whole thing to keep it on.

To the left is the original design of the costume, but i have fair skin and like to have high contrast colors against my hips, so I had a row of red beads added to the outer edges of the costume. It is made of red stretch velvet, I've worn it about ten times, and it's in like-new condition. In general, it's pretty indestructable.
